Production Process1838 is a specialist boutique producer of premium varietal extra virgin olive oils.

All our oils are pressed on farm through our Pieralisi continuous extraction plant.

Our extra virgin oils are early harvested, cold pressed and are characterised by very low acidity, intense fruit flavours and unequalled quality.


What makes our oil different to the others?

- Boutique operation so we can take that little bit of extra time and care in making the oil.
- With our own olive press at the olive grove we have total control over the production process. Therefore no delays in pressing the fruit, which is pressed under optimal conditions.
- We are not a bulk oil factory whose goal is olive oil at minimum cost.
- Our oil is from early harvested fruit and the final oil when bottled is unfiltered. It is therefore more intense, more flavoursome and has greater aroma than bulk oils found in supermarkets. Being unfiltered the oil retains all the polyphenols which are often removed when filtering (resulting in a lesser quality oil with a reduced shelf life).
